East Central Railway (ECR), Hajipur issued notification for recruitment of sports persons (male and female both) from 10 sports disciplines to fill 31 vacancies in ECR Head quarters, Hajipur and 25 vacancies in 5 Divisions of ECR against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement). Interested candidates should send their applications till 28 October 2013.

Educational Qualifications, Sports Norms and Division-wise No. of Posts for Associated Grade Pay:

Rs. 2400 / 2800 Graduate for GP Rs. 2800 and Intermediate in Science with maths & Physics for GP Rs. 2400 Represented the country in Olympic Games (category- A) OR secured at least 3rd position in any of the Category- B Championship / events.

Rs. 1900 / 2000 Minimum SSC / Matriculate or equivalent or higher qualification. Represented the country in any of the Category- B Championship / events OR secured at least 3rd position in any of the Category- C Championship / events OR in Senior / Youth / Junior National Championship OR in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR 1st positon in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)

Rs. 1800 Minimum 10th pass or ITI or equivalent. Represented the country in any of the Category- C Championship / events OR secured at least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championship (Senior Category).

OR Represented a State of equivalent Unit, except on Marathon and Cross Country, in Senior / Youth / Junior National Chamionships OR at least 3rd position in Senior State Championships for all Units and Districts of the State



Age Limit: (as on 1 January 2014)



Minimum: 18 years



Maximum: 25 years



Selection Procedure: Candidates will be considered for appointment on the basis of their performance in trials, and assessment of their sports achievements and general intelligence/ personality etc.



Trials will be conducted to assess candidate’s sports performance / suitability for ECR team. Candidates found fit after Trials will only be considered for next stage of recruitment process â€" Interview / Document Verification. Only the candidates declared FIT in Trial and attending interview will be awarded the marks for the sports achievements, educational qualifications, general intelligence etc. Final selection would depend on selected Sportspersons fulfilling the minimum medical norms for the post, for which he is being appointed.



Candidates must bring all documents in Original and a set of attested photo copies on the day of trial and Interview else they

will not be allowed to appear in the Trial / Interview.



Date, venue and time for Trial will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Business Post.



NOTE:



1. The offer of appointment shall be given purely on the basis of merit. In case more than one sportspersons score the same marks, preference should be given to younger candidate to decide the merit.



2. Centralized Trial for each Game will be conducted against the posts of Grade Pay Rs. 2800 / 2400 & Rs. 2000 / 1900 and separate Centralized Trail will be conducted for the posts of Grade Pay Rs. 1800. Hence, the applicants should apply at one place against the post of same Grade Pay as the trial will be conducted centrally.



Examination Fee: Non-refundable Fees has to be paid in the form of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of “FA & CAO, East Central Railway” & payable at Hajipur.



Grade Pay and Associated Fees to be paid:



(a) For posts with Grade Pay Rs.2400 and Rs.2800: Rs.60



(b) For posts with Grade Pay Rs.1800, Rs.1900 and Rs.2000: Rs.40



SC / ST / female / Minority (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists and Zorastrians [Parsis]) / and candidates belonging to Economically Backward Classes (family income less than Rs.50000 per annum) are exempted from payment of fees.



How to Apply: Eligible interested sports persons should send their applications, in the prescribed ,format along with copies of relevant enclosures by ordinary post only to the concerned address mentioned above so as to reach their on or before the prescribed last date. Candidates can also drop the applications in the box kept in the concerned office premises on or before the prescribed last Date.



On the envelope containing the application, candidates should super-scribe “Application against Sports Quota”, Employment Notice No.ECR/HRD/Rectt/Sports Quota (Open Advt.)/2013-14 & Sports Discipline.
