Indian Army has invited applications of unmarried/married male and unmarried female for 49th Short Service Commission (Tech) Men and 20th Short Service Commission (Tech) Women Course (Oct 2017) including widows of Defence personnel for Non-Tech (Non-UPSC) entry. Eligible candidates can apply online till 22 February 2017 (1000 hrs).

Vacancies:- 196 (Men-175, Women-20, Widow for SSCW non-tech -01)
Age Limit:- 20 to 27 years for SSC(T) men and women, 19-29 years for SSCW(non-tech)
Stipend:- Rs.21000/- per month
Qualification:- Candidates who have passed Engineering degree course OR in the final year of Engineering course are eligible to apply.
How to Apply:-
- Eligible candidates can apply online through the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in till 22 January 2017 (1000 hrs).
- After submitting the online form, candidates must take two photocopies of application having roll no and other details generated by the system.
Selection Procedure:- Shortlisting on the basis of marks/ SSB Interview/ Physical Standard/ Medical examination
Notes:-
- Candidate can apply for one post only.
- Widows of defence personnel are only eligible if they have not remarried.
- Pay scale will be given according to the rank of candidate.
- Incomplete/ late applications will be rejected.
- Age relaxation will be given as per the rules.
- Number of vacancies may increase or decrease.
